instrumental techniques

                                                              Practice routine

I am working on all the aspects,  dexterity, technical ability, control of the instrument, apart from stamina for my personal practice routine.

Dexterity:

First of all, for my dexterity, I try to play a note rhythm where I have to stretch my hand very much. After a while I find it easier to play normal chords. I write difficult chords on a sheet of paper, such as 'F-major' and many bar chords. At the end I try to play these chords in a fast rhythm and that for five minutes. In my opinion, this exercise is very exhausting and requires a very good concentration.
Secondly, I play many different music styles one after the other. This helps a lot to improve my Picking-rhythm.

Technical ability:

All the things, I practice for my practical ability are hammer ons, pull offs, guitar bends, sweep picking and two handed tapping.

Control of the instrument:

To improve the control of my instrument, I always tune the guitar by myself. I never used a tuner to tune my guitar before and I also think that, because I have all the main tones in my head, that it is a lot faster to do it this way.
I normally hold the guitar like this, that the guitar body lays on my right leg and I hold the guitar horizontal. What I try sometimes is to play it like spanish guitar players do it; to have the guitar body on the left leg and the guitar is more vertical.
