I am going to perform two new piece I've learned on my guitar, which have a lot of new techniques in it, which I didn't used that much before, like strumming and slapping at the same time. Why did I choose these songs? How do they contrast? I chose these songs because of the new teqniques, which makes a song sound better. And the songs impress the way how I feel at the moment. For me, it is showing the skills and progresses that somebody have made to an audience. And trying stand out with this talent, to impress them and maybe get popular. What personal instrumental and/or vocal skills do I want to present? I want to present a good basic guitar playing whilst singing higher vocals in popular music. How should I present myself in an audience?  (appearance, manner) It depends on what type of music you are playing. For example when you play rock you should wear black, or I should wear just simple clothing because I play pop music. How should I conduct myself in an audition? 1.) Critique own Instrument and associated equipment with regard to effective , safe operation, current selection and future personal development. 1.1- You should be aware of strumming from the side and not from the bottom otherwise the key will change. You should clean your hands before playing every single time, so the strings last longer. You should let your finger nails grow. That is also better for the strings when you do picking, but also sounds better and don't have to use a plectrum anymore. You shouldn't tune the guitar just like you want it. The risk is, to go higher each time what makes the strings to tight and they got brake. 1.2- I bought a Spanish Alhambra guitar with mixed strings, nylon and a special Spanish string metal, what makes this guitar the best one I've ever played so far.                                                       My performance at the third Fusenight was my best one so far. First off I had problems to choose a good song to sing, like I normally have, because my vocal range is not as high as others can go at the moment. I planned to sing dusk till dawn as a solo and play in my blood on the guitar as a duet with Jase. Because me and Jase didn't have time to practice that much and he felt better with a background track, we decided that I should do 2 solos. The only song I felt confident to sing, was dusk till dawn, but as a second song I had no idea what to sing first of. I practiced a beatbox-song last year, which I only showed a few people. Goal setting: Self-confident guitar playing (preferred picking) while singing, all confront of the audience. My strategy is to warm up first. First of all my hands, to play the guitar properly and so that I can practice the melody better. Because I am new to singing at the moment, I don't have strategy yet for that. I think what I should try the next time, is to do some exercises, where I go from a low to a high tone, so I will be more confident to sing higher infant of others. Audition process: What I do when I choose a song to play at performances, is to look for something what is in my kind of vocal range, but still is challenging. We had the first and second Fuse night already. At the first one I chose a song fro Adele. The song starts low first and then ends with an high highlight.
